Spartan 125 dpf tune idle up

If I drive my truck for a few miles and then stop and put it in park and the idle will go up to 1100 after a few min. Is this normal?

Thanks

BTW the 125 dpf tune runs very strong. This is the way ford should have made it.

Yes, idling a diesel at low idle does not allow the fuel to burn efficiently as a result a condition called "Wet Stacking" will occur. Sulfation issues also begin to present. As a result the truck is designed to high idle after a few minutes, some states don't allow diesels to idle longer than a given amount of time, and the truck will shut down.

It's normal, and necessary in the winter, at least here.

The truck may be in regeneration when this is occurring. Our DPF on tunes still allow the idle up regeneration that use to happen with stock trucks.

One more quick question. Can I use the tuner on my other truck if I first return my truck to stock?

You can only use the tunes for one VIN, you can get another license for $650 I think and use the same DD for both.

I think you can still use the DD for diagnostics on another vehicle but I'm not sure.

A new license for it to work on another truck is $699. Doing this also gets rid of the "strategy flash" option.
