Exclamation Turbo problems?

Hello all,,
Question pleaseÖ
2008 job1 30k miles, 20k with Spartan, Spartan tcm, 19mpg
I have the Spartan 310 tune for about a year now without any problems.. I donít know if itís the cooler weather but why does it seem like my turbo spins up very quick, Iíll be getting on the freeway light throttle and I notice that my boost is almost maxed.. ďis it just getting ready for me to floor it?Ē
If I floor it, it will pull kind of hard and max out, and then I can feel like something shutting off but Iím not losing any power, truck keeps pulling hard but the boost drops just below the 4 until I let off the throttleÖ
I guess my question is, is it just a cold turbo or could something be wrong with it.. Is there something I can check with the Spartan tunner..
Iíve got no codes ever and truck runs great.. Why would the boost be at over 3 if Iím not on the throttle hard?
But cruising at 80 the boost is no higher then 2. I donít know if Iím just being paranoid or if something is wrong with a turbo..
Sry for the long rant and thanks to anyone that replies!!
Thanks again everyone!!

Are you reading boost correctly?

Yes, just seems strange that while getting on freeway, medium throttle the boost gauge is over 3,
Cold turbo? Would the tunner give me better info? I dont leave it plugged in.

thanks!

Monitor MGP (Manifold Gauge Pressure) on the DashDAQ. I find it odd that boost is so low on the highway at 80 MPH. I can keep it under 5 lbs at 70 MPH, but it takes a lot of throttle feathering to do it. At 80 MPH, you should be 5+ most of the time.

There was alot of talk along time ago and dont really remeber what the out come was. I think it had something to do was limiting the boost alittle a quick way to check if my memory is right is to look at the VGT duty cycle and see what its doing. if it cuts back suddenly thats it.

You don't want it to keep rising. I hit 56 psi on a 310 beta file back during the summer of 2009, and puked coolant everywhere. The higher the boost on these trucks, typically the higher the back pressure.
