2008 with Live Wire Extreme... DPF delete, but DOC (cat)??

Hey guys,

My truck is in the shop right now, being outfitted with a livewire extreme and what was supposed to be a complete 4" system with only an MBRP muffler on it.

The Mechanic just called me and said he wants to leave the DOC (cat) in place. What will this do to;

a) the flow (power)
b) sound
c) any other good or bad side effects??

It seems hard to find info, seems like everyone just goes all out and gets rid of both.

Thanks
Erik

I have a job 3 2008 and I still have the cat on my truck. It does not effect the power. It does make it just a touch quiter, a little les smoke, and seems to get rid of that raw diesel smell from the exhaust that the full delete trucks have.

So If it was mine I would tell the shop to go ahead with it.

Two questions for you...

What do you mean by a Job 3?

How many miles have you packed on since doing the mods? A few things ive read say that the CAT's (doc's) are prone to plugging up after putting a tune into the truck (since i assume they run a bit ritcher).

Thanks Much.
