TCSLIP #'s Clarification

I've been running the KEM 275 for about the last 4000 miles, truck has 6300 on it now. I've been paying attention to and reading about tcslip alot lately and everyone says that a good converter should not get up much more than 5-10 locked at wot. Now when I go to wot in my truck at 60mph with the 275, the tcslip will spike to about 30-35 then drop to 1-3 within a few seconds. I also ran the KEM 310 the other night and tried the same thing, the tcslip spiked to 80-90 then again dropped down to around 15-20. It may have kept dropping but I let out due to excess speed. My question is if this is normal, since nobody ever talks about these "spikes".

that is alittle longer then normal then it should be. It does take alittle bit for the clutches to get full pressure on them

How do you check or look at these #s? I have got a low speed high torque tremble I can't figure out. I think the trans is slipping or problem w/ torque converter. I'm running spartan dd. Thanks for your help.

Just set the dd to display tcslip as one of your gauges, it should be under Ford specific.

how fast are you going...

just keep it easy when the converter locks... no point taking our trucks past 85 really.

if yours is saying 20-30's when locked on the Spartan, you're transmission(clutches) are starting to slip/let go.

It only gets that high right when the turbo lites up and boost spikes, pulls down to 1-5 after that. I was just wondering about the spike.
