Newbie Needs Help / Recomendations

Hi I'm new to the ford diesel world and could use some help,
I'm getting a new to me 08 Ford F450 and I want to add an intake, programmer, and exhaust. I was also thinking about a FASS system but not sure what order to get this stuff in. I want an intake that doesn't throw any codes and was thinking about a spartan tuner, I'm not sure what exhaust to get, but I want to delete the DPF and Cat. Also I'm not sure whether or not to get a muffler, I want a nice sounding truck but not annoyingly loud. As you can see I have many questions and I'm sure I'll have a lot more down the road. So, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Matt

We are doing some awesome package deals right now. Check out the website for details.

As for the FASS or Air Dog, it is not needed on these trucks with just a tuner....unless you are looking for better filtration and water separation. I recommend Air Dog for the filtration purposes. The stock fuel system on these trucks supports 600 horsepower no problem.

Also, with a DPF delete tuner you will not see codes from an intake.

Thanks for the info. With the Spartan Tuner or any tuner for that matter what is the limit for a stock engine / transmission. In other words what is the max hp before you have to replace the transmission and replace the head studs (What else would you have to do to the engine to handle more power? Injectors?) Sorry for all the questions but I'm new and could use the help for you veterans.

It has the 4.30's (I believe thats it, I know its not the 4.88's) Like I said I'm new why would the 450 be different? I know the chassis is different from the 350 but I thought the motor transmission was all the same?

there have been more then one motor fail because of continous high rpm, that being said there is nothing better you can do to these trucks than dpf delete

If its your daily driver and your worried about breaking something already I wouldn't run anything over 275 tune just to give you the good feeling of being safer then sorry... Do your home work on the tuners, exhaust and such... we will all have our own opinions but in the end its your truck.

Do forum searches on all the different tuners and get an idea of the pro's and con's of each. We have so many forums out there the information is endless.
