SPARTAN TUNED AND DISAPPOINTED no dry roads to give it the test.

I just got my Spartan tuner on Thursday and installed it on Friday. Set it to the 150 on road tune with the dpf, and with the snow we have had the past couple of days there isn't one road that is bare where I can really try it out. I took if for a ride it feels a lot better, but I can't get any traction. At least it looks nice. I just wish this snow would stop long enough for the state to clean the roads. This up coming weekend I'll be able to put the Cat/DPF delete pipe in then I can bump it up to the 250 Tune. I'm really hoping for some bare roads next week.

You really should have chosen your words better in the title for your thread. It leads everyone to think that you are disappointed with Spartan, instead of the weather.

Spartan Tuned and wish I lived in Florida might have been a better title.

You know what I'm getting at.

His choice of words in his title instantly attract anyone who is pro-Spartan or a Spartan-basher to take note.

Maybe that was the purpose but I just hate seeing anyone using a manufacturer's name and a negative comment to draw attention.

I'm just a sensitive kind of guy.

I added a little detail to his title for clarification.

It sure got your attention, though, didn't it!

First off, I have to say I do apologize for the way I wrote the title, I usually try to keep them short and never really gave it much thought. I tried to edit it, but couldn't figure out how, I also didn't know people would be so sensitive about it.

Anyways as an update I love it, I can't believe the difference it made, and that is with the dpf/ cat on. This weekend I'll put the dpf/cat delete pipe on and intake. I can't wait to see what the 250 off road tune does.

One other question I have is can you change what the three gauges read. Customize it? Or change the size of it, make it larger?

Thanks for the edit. Like I said I couldn't figure out hot to change it.

With your gauges showing: Press Exit
In the next menu: Press Set-up
In the next menu: Press Devices
In the next menu: Press Parameters

At this point, you want to be sure you are set for Ford Specific. This is where you set-up your DashDaq to read signals from your trucks sensors.

Save and Exit.

Continue to go back through the menus until you get back to the screen that has the Set-up option and press Set-up.

In the Set-up menu: Press Display
In the Display menu: Press Theme

Choose a Theme from the ones listed, save it then exit back to the Set-up screen and choose Gauges.

If you don't like what you see, then proceed back to the Theme option Exit, Set-up, Display, Theme
and try another one.

When you decide on the theme (you like the way the gauges look on the DashDaq), you can tap on the gauge, decide what you want it to monitor (ECT = engine coolant temperature for example), adjust high & low settings for the gauge (0 degrees to 220 degrees for example), as well as alarms. Save and exit.

Once you get the hang of maneuvering around the DashDaq and their terminology, it isn't that difficult.

If you think the DPF-on tunes make you smile, just wait 'til you run the DPF-off 250 tune!
