One other question I have is can you change what the three gauges read. Customize it? Or change the size of it, make it larger?
With your gauges showing: Press Exit
In the next menu: Press Set-up
In the next menu: Press Devices
In the next menu: Press Parameters
At this point, you want to be sure you are set for Ford Specific
. This is where you set-up your DashDaq to read signals from your trucks sensors.
Save and Exit.
Continue to go back through the menus until you get back to the screen that has the Set-up
option and press Set-up
In the Set-up
menu: Press Display
In the Display menu: Press Theme
Choose a Theme
from the ones listed, save it then exit back to the Set-up
screen and choose Gauges
If you don't like what you see, then proceed back to the Theme
option Exit, Set-up, Display, Theme
and try another one.
When you decide on the theme (you like the way the gauges look on the DashDaq), you can tap on the gauge, decide what you want it to monitor (ECT = engine coolant temperature for example), adjust high & low settings for the gauge (0 degrees to 220 degrees for example), as well as alarms. Save and exit.
Once you get the hang of maneuvering around the DashDaq and their terminology, it isn't that difficult.
If you think the DPF-on tunes make you smile, just wait 'til you run the DPF-off 250 tune!
