I suggest not wasting your money on a water/meth kit, but that is just me.

I ran a water/meth kit on my 6.0, cut about 500* off my egts when I was towing

picked the whole kit up for $250 took me an afternoon to hook up

not a waste of money at all

the kits are stand alone pretty much the pump is boost referenced, only thing you really need to sort out is where to mount the tank, I had a custom made tank fitted under my bed worked out great.

very simple to install just mount the tank, plumb the lines and nozzles and wire power to it and mount a switch and your ready to rock

Testing has proven that the water/meth kits provide no real EGT drops on a 6.4. There will be an article coming out soon in Diesel Power magazine that will show this. The kit used was an AEM water injection kit. The sole purpose of the kit is to reduce EGT's....which it did not do.

Also....methanol has proven to cause valve stem wear. The MPG gains, horsepower increase, and EGT decrease is just no worth it in my opinion.

What a kit may have done on your 6.0, may do something completely different on this guys 6.4.

I totally agree!! I had a kit on my 6.4 and found zero benefit whatsoever! It used 1:1 ratio of meth/water to fuel, far above the advertised consumption and the manufacturer was of no help whatsoever. I agree with the valve stem wear and will one up that ante. It WILL cause cylinder wear and the moly to wear right off the rings when not working correctly. While I don't think the manufacturer of said kit is totally to blame, they definitely weren't interested in helping figure it out before the failure. I sample oil every 5k and ALWAYS came back with stuff in it from the meth and water combo.
If you're dead set on it I have a kit for sale with a trick tank I built to mount under the drivers side of the cab to the frame.

You have a link or reference to these "tests" you speak of?

If not, I would advise anybody reading this to disregard your advise.
