New Spartan tunes...?

not blaming Spartan at all by no means!!! but when i updated to the V2 or w/e the new update was i installed the 275hp tune...and the degas bottle puked so i said back to the 250...this tune pukes as well...called spartan very helpful and said could be pressure cap, egr cooler or head gaskets....well its not the cap replaced that with new and still does it...but this 250 tune hits boost warning alot sooner before the old 250 tune...anyone experiencing this?? also im gettin a p0401 EGR flow insufficient Detected??

Yep i emailed I think it was Mick about when they were going to fix the tune for the EGR code, and also doing a later converter lockup. I and my truck hates the 45mph lockup, it has 35's and it makes the truck bog down and it just sucks all the way around. It needs to be an option and maybe around 55mph of a lockup, 45mph the truck shifts good a part throttle and then all of a sudden it just dies out, can't be good for the trans at all. Not sure if the email address was wrong but no response, as long as it took for the "update" to come out the EGR code should not have been an issue and they should have taken in to consideration on opinions of converter locking, totally sucks on my truck right now, I need a later lock up, I've had this tuner for about a year and it's been alot of complaints on my side, power is great but the the tunes shift too hard and too soon, you can't hardly stay in a gear for a split second at part throttle and it shifts, I"m not a skweaky wheel but the shifting has been my whole issue from day one. Sorta of a shame we still have to go through the trouble of downloading tunes again to correct the the EGR problem and there hasn't been posts saying "we are working on it" or anything.

Yea, I may call them, I was sorta on a rant last nite but I really hope they can consider a later lock up on the converter, of course check engine light is on today, so I'll just load the 175 until they fix it I guess.

try running the 210 for daily driver (not tow performance).....shifts nice, love the new update and run the 275 without a problem.. Best mileage the trucks seen...Also you could run the 250 EGR delete with no codes just make sure you drop back to 175 or lower to cycle the EGR every couple weeks...And one more thing, if you like the old 250 for less boost reasons and wat not just go back to it. I went back to it to compare with the new tunes and love the 275

The 250 tune P0401 fix should be released any day now along with a few other fixes/additions.

As for the puking, I would have to say that you have either an EGR cooler or head gasket issue since you are puking with both the 275 and 250 tunes. I rarely ever hear of anyone puking with the 250 tune, so something is definitely up internally.

What is the other fixes and additions? I understand if you don't want to say, but I guess we'll all find out when they come out, I hope I don't sound like a pain in the *** with what I've posted, but I feel mainly I'm just giving input. As a customer I feel you should know what our needs and wants are, of course everyone has differant ones. I like the "race" tunes but I don't race with them; I like the fuel mileage, of coarse (it cost me $107 to fill up yesterday), if I want to stomp it occsionally I can, and the smoke, I like being able to smoke out when I feel like it too. Shifting firmness I can live with due to needing the ladder bars, but hopefully there is going to be a later converter lock with the EGR fix, thanks for your time and effort with trying to keep all of us happy.

Later lock-up for guys with larger tires and SunCoast files for guys with stock TCM's and SunCoast transmissions. All of this will be free of charge.
