Spartan 250 tune with S&B

looking to put a prefilter on my S&B CAI. I read on some other forums that it "in the higher tunes seem to suck in the filter minder a lot. Seems to be pretty restrictive."

any advice? any thoughts??

If you have a cold air intake, you are good.

That is an issue with a stock intake. You have an aftermarket intake. If you have issue sucking in the filter minder with the 250 tune and an S&B intake, you may want to contact S&B and let them know. That isn't supposed to happen. I have an AFE Stage II intake on my truck. Never once had an issue and I'm making a little north of 600 horsepower at the rear wheels.
