Spartan tuner question - 08 F250 - job 1 truck

So I just got an 08 F250 crew cab, long bed with 6" lift and 35" procomp extreme all terrain tires. The truck is way more than I'll ever need for sure. I do enjoy performance and the mpg increases of the tuners. I'm looking into getting the spartan tuner with dpf delete and have a couple of questions.

Other than the lift the truck is stock. It is a job 1 truck, 102,000 miles so just out of warranty. Has 3.73 gearing. I plan to do the 275 tune. The most I'll be towing will be a 9.5 pop up camper that weights maybe 1300 loaded (its pretty light) and a boat that I don't have yet but will still be reasonable.

My questions are:

Is this correct? I'll get a module to control the tune, I'll put a new CAI, and then then the dpf delete? I see a lot of kits adding 4 and 5" exhausts. Is it reasonable to run this tune and not add an entire new exhaust or is it beneficial? Do I get ride of the cat as well or is that part of the dpf?

The guy I bought the truck from has immaculate service done at a dealer. Is there anything I need to do when I put the mod on? Like change the transmission oil or beef anything else up?

Not really sure I understand the EGR delete portion yet. Can someone explain that to me a little better? Is that something I have to unplug and the tuner will compensate? Or does the tuner adjust automatically the EGR?

I plan to get it shortly after I get my license plates so not too much longer. Come on Christmas to me. lol

If you purchase our tuner, you have the option to purchase either the DPF/CAT delete pipe (only) or the full exhaust option. If you plan to run the 275 tune, either of these choices are acceptable. There is a bolted flange between the DPF and the CAT, but you want to remove both. Exceeding normal Ford servicing is not necessary. The 275 tune itself actually turns off the EGR so that it stays closed, therefore no other changes are needed.

I didn't see a need to upgrade the size of my exhaust, just get rid of the cat and DPF.

I also have a job 1 , tuned the truck back in febuary, went with a spartan, love it. went with the down pipe back exhaust, changed the airbox over to AFE and had the charge pipe rebuilt. Think my truck loves me for letting it breath and cool down. Mostly I wanted to get rid of the regen, that just can't be good for the long term. You said something about towing and would use the 275, Spartan has a 210 tow mode, I use this, it has safe guards and protects the tranny, and has more power than you will need. I use the regular 210 as my daily driver, drop it to the 175 every now and then , 175 cleans out the EGR , 210 and up only cycle the EGR at idel. I did find a problem with the tuner, at about 125 MPH the sun roof starts to make noise

Spartan Tuned
AFE air box
4" stainless exhaust
2 1/2" lift
Tinted windows
Those nice heated leather seats
Sunroof
custom built charge pipe

Think my speedo tops at 100. Lol. I posted another post and never for a response so maybe it can be answered here. I know a guy selling a sct live wire 9621,.an afe cold air and a dpf for 750. Is that a good enough deal to skip the spartan ?

Why don't you elaborate rather than bash? Your picking through any thread that has to do with Spartan and you are attempting to tarnish the Spartan name. We have a LOT of VERY satisfied customers that have anywhere from 20,000 to 150,000 miles on their trucks.

I am sure you have satisfied customers but you also have alot that are not happy. I am just saying it how it is. Sorry if this offends you but its true.
I'm not offended at all. Just pointing out the obvious.

Yes 750.00 for the tuner DPF and CAI is a good deal, tuner with OR package is almost 700.00 itself
