i bought the sinister kit and am happy with it. if you buy it. I suggest taking the cheap low heat thread tape off and replacing it with the stuff you use for your hot water heater. The red thread tape. I had issues with getting mine to stop leaking until i used the red tape. I have just changed the filter from the 500 miles and have not cut it open to see what stuff i trapped. I had to mount mine a little farther down the frame rail than they suggested due to my retractable running boards. I was able to use one of the holes in the frame. I had to drill a small hole for the other bolt. Pretty straight foward kit.

I was debating on the the one you have or the cheaper and not as flashy one from dieselsite.com. where do the hoses tie into?

i think the only difference is the look and the fact that the sinister kit has crimped lines which makes it difficult or at least a little more effort to add extensions like i had to. Where i mounted mine you cannot even see the logo on the top and never will. Kind of a wasted effort on their part but it was a bday gift so hey ill take it.

oh the hoses tie into the lower heater core line behind the air box and the other line is the return line going back to the degas tank. Pretty straight forward. Make sure you have a gallon of the Gold coolant handy as you will loose a bit if your not quick like me.

Then you have to watch for coolant loss. It was time to change the filter for the 500 mile interval before i finally got the coolant back where it needed to be.

you bet,

i just opened my filter after 500 miles and didn't find much of anything. I am guessing my 50k flush fill took most of it with it. Which is good. But i always like insurance.

Good luck

as the years go on that will get harder and harder to do. Ordering from a phone that is.
