Spartan

Hey guys. I live in Cali and I think my truck needs more power!!!! My dad happens to agree so he's considering a dpf delete. I've heard good things from Spartan. So how does the process go and where are they located. How long would it take? I know the cost and I'm interested in the one with; Phalanx Flash Console w/3 custom tunes and Spartan DPF-Delete Pipe. Then I hope to drop in a volant intake . So whats the scoop and are you guys happy with it? I'm not asking for pricing and stuff like that, I would call if I wanted that info. I just want to see what your personal experience was like with the company/the dashq- and also where it's located-.

Does it beat the SCT? I've been away from the forums and after reading a few things it seems as if SCT is no longer king...Wth?

So ya plain and simple I have import's bugging me. lol.

Spartan tuner w/275 tune, dpf delete, 8500lbs or so, will run 13.20's at 100mph in the quarter. Easy to install. Shifts hard no slipping, beats SCT extreme livewire thingy hands down. Lays down 500+rwhp and 1000+lbs torque, give or take a few. No issues other than a current cold weather surging issue.. however the stock trucks are seeing similar issues AND so are the cummins and chevy boys.

I'm trying to justify the expense to my warden (wife). I'm currently getting 11-12 mpg, what will the Spartan realistically to for my mileage? I'm sure this has been beaten to death on other forums, but I figured that with the data loss it would be a good time to ask?

MPG's that people are posting are all over the place - and rightfully so. No two trucks are absolutely identical, nor are the ways we drive them, nor is the quality of fuel that we all get the same, differing elevations, temps, humidty, etc etc. So you can see how far numbers can be skewed for each person that posts.

I think it would be better if people simply posted what gains or losses they've experienced after installing the tuner rather than posting actual MPG's that they're seeing. Of course you can only trust hand calculations - not the lie-o-meter.

Im personally seeing a 3-4MPG gain over what my truck was doing before, based upon driving the way I was driving before, pulling the same trailer and weights, same size tires, etc etc after I installed the tuner.

Hope that helps clarify it some.

I agree with gahanna-6.4. I am seeing gains of 4-5 mpg unloaded running 70 on the interstate. Pulling the boat anywhere from 2-4 mpg. My truck is listed below.

Traded: 2011 Ford F350 White Platinum Tri-Coat, 6.7L Powerstorke Turbo Diesel, Lariat Ultimate Package, 20" Wheels, etc.......

*SOLD* 2008 Ford F-250, Black with Pueblo Gold, 6.4L Turbo Diesel, 285 65 R20E BF Goodrich All Terrains.

4-5 mpg gains is more than a steal for 1500 dollars. While you wont see a huge return it will help decreasing fill up frequency, which is a problem at times.
So where is spartan located? Would I have to drive there or do they have dealers all over the place?

With the AFE, DPF-CAT delete and 250 I picked up at least 100 miles per tank of fuel. I was getting between 300 and 325 now it gets at least 400-425.

I picked up about 2-3 MPG hand calculated. The truck says I picked up 4-5 MPG, but real numbers are the 2-3. I'm running the 210, haven't put anything else in to try. I was considering getting the 250, simply for a few more MPG. The snap I have with the 210 is awesome, so I can only imagine what the 250 would do! Nothing special about my truck, 4 door, auto, short-bed. I drive like it like I have to fix the broken parts,(cuz I do!) but I do hammer into it every now and then! 4" pipe from the downpipe back.
