Cracked and seperated manifold to turbo exhaust pipe?

Well, i was gaining speed and pop... Then she sounded like a big block with no mufflers... Looked underneeth and found the passenger side exhaust pipe comming off the exhaust manifold had cracked and seperated.. Has anyone else seen this? From the exhaust manifold to the turbo pipe. I cracked right after the flange where it is bolted on to the exhaust manifold. Had no choice but to take her to the closest dealer ( i am at work 900 miles from my dealer. ) there was no point in trying to hide the tuner exhaust and intake, no means of changing back to stock where i am. Now it sounds like it won't be covered under warrenty.... What the %$#@ does that pipe have to do with my mods?? The way i see it it has to be a defective pipe and should be covered.. He may cover it once they get it off and see it was defective, but they have to remove the cab to change it... What a joke, who engineered these trucks?? If i have to pay it will be at least $2500.00 to change a 2 foot piece of pipe... I sure hope that this is not a sign of things to come!!! For the last month i have heard a small exhaust leak when cold and smelled exhaust, I figured it was a matter of time... Mechanic said that he seen the drivers side pipe crack before and he reccomends changing that one too when the cab is off.... At my cost of course.
Well, just had to vent....

Up pipe failure on these 6.4's is fairly common at the flex joint between the manifold and the back of the turbo assemble. Usually sounds like a tea pot driving down the road.

She broke off right after the flange that bolts onto the exaust manifold. Dealer said either the turbo has to come off or the cab.. Small town dealer, so I would rather have tem pull off the cab instead of mess with my turbo..? What do you think? Kind of screwed here, I am 1200k from home..

They didn't say. It happened fairly early on when the trucks 1st came out so they didn't have much exposure yet to these types of problems.

Cracked one when water splashed up on a very hot pipe. It was not a 6.4. Big bad 352 gasser.
