No there is not much you can do with keeping the warrenty. Just use a light foot keep the boost under 20 psi.

2006 yamaha Vmax
2003 F-350 XLT 6.0L just bought 215,000 km all stock for now.
2003 suzuki 1000 GSX-R
1993 F-250 460
1978 F-150 stock waiting for a paint job

I averaged 14 miles to the gallon yesterday comming back from south dakota. (hand Calculated) driving 75-80 mph. But yeah, the only way to get better fuel milage on these things as far as Ive read is to delete the dpf and run a tuner.

I just drove my new 2010 back to TX from Blowklahomo and I got 14.5 hand calculated. The 3.55's seem to help.

My Spartan tuned (250 hp tune , 2700 miles) 2010 F250 crew cab just averaged 23.9 mpg, over 135 miles, running at 70-75 mph on US Highway 1, and Interstate 40 (NC). Potentially voids your warranty, but the results are out of this world...

Superduty Harley 00696 started another thread indicating that the 23.9 mpg was from the Lie-O-Meter, not hand calculated and he is running a Spartan Tune. His figure may be off by as much as 6 or 7 mpg to the low side.

As Truckmaniac stated above, I am now keyed into the reality that the "Lie-O-Meter" is not accurate... and was not aware that the tuner could affect the Lie-O-Meter's accuracy. If you find the other thread, I did identical trips, pre and post mods, relying on the Lie-O-Meter's readings to estimate my mileage. I assumed that the gauge would be consistent, ie. if it was off non tuned, it would be off the same amount tuned.

My fuel gauge indicated 1/2 tank, with 270 miles traveled on the trip odometer. The second half of the tank may go quicker... I've seen that on other vehicles. But before mods, I was at about 200 miles for a 1/2 tank.

I should have stated in my initial post in this thread how I obtained my data, I did in the other thread. I realize now that the mileage gauge could / probably is flawed... I will hand calc the next couple of tankfuls, and let ya'll know the results. But my mileage has went up, and the truck RIPS when you push on the right pedal...

Pete
