HELP!! Truck broke down

My DD was driving my truck not beating on it or anything and we hit a hill and the truck started to shutter. Looked back and there was whiteish gray smoke. Pulled over and shut it down. Temps were fine. It smelled like burnt oil. When we pulled it up the ramp onto the trailer some oil was dripping out of the exhaust. Im thinking turbos. I pulled the intake off and the one compressor wheel was fine but thats all I could see. Ive snapped shafts on my turbo in my 6.0L and it did the same thing but I dont think it had the shutter. What do you guys think? Anything else you guys can think of? Thanks Ryan. Sorry for the length.

Thats the thing. There were none. I havent tried to search on the DD but no engine lights or anything came up

Probably lost a turbo, Your positive it was oil and not wet soot?

ugh finals. Mine start next week but both of my lab finals are this week. worst part of the semester.

Ya dude. no ****. My truck breaking down right now is the worst timing. could have waited till thursday and it would be fine. headin north shortly to fix it. Just got done with my 8 am final.

ya definately a turbo, you probably know this but make sure you pull your intake tubes off and inspect for shrapnal. if any, i would replace the intercooler as pieces get stuck in there and can scar your cylinders or even take the turbo out again shortly.
