Heavy towing on 210 tune & surging?

So is the cause the tune or the truck? Between 60 and 65 she wants to do some bucking when I keep the throttle steady. If I accelerate or slow down it's fine though.

Thanks in advance!

Is this with the regular 210 or the 210 tow performance? Its due to throttle sensitivity.

This is the old 210. I just don't buy the touchy throttle deal....

No it is not the throttle. Mine did it stock but it is much worse with the older tunes. The newer tune seem to be much better. It will do it real bad with even the cruise control on. My 250 tune does it really bad I can't even run it.

Are you referring to bucking or surging? They are two different things. With the bucking, you typically won't see rail pressure jump up and down.....but you will with surging.

Mine starts with Surging and if you don't catch it in time it will turn to bucking....The new Spartan tunes have corrected it greatly minus my 250 tune. It is real wierd than some tunes are worse than others??? Again I am not blaming Spartan as the truck will do it stock I think the tune just makes it more noticeable. 08stroker64 I would get a different version of your tune etc it helped mine a lot.

Thanks for the reply... I have heard that the new 210 has realy hard shift points and I don't want that with a 40' fith wheel.?

What is your opinion on the new 210?

The new 210 doesn't have hard shifts, just improved over the older ones. It's the 210 TP that has hard shifts....and they are hard in order to keep your tranny alive while towing.

I have a 6spd so my shifts are ALWAYS smooth....lol....so I can speak about an auto. My buddy with the new 210 says the shifts are great but he doesn't pull much with it. I pull my 40' with the NEW 210 and love it!!!!
