Question about the Spartan TCM

The question I have about the Spartan TCM is that will it help me run the 310 tune? The last two times I've tried to run it I have thrown transmission codes. Will the TCM help prevent this? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you updated to the strategy flash yet? I got those codes on the old 310 tunes but don't with the new ones since I updated. (the TCM didn't help with the codes on the old tunes)

Yes I believe so. I updated about two months ago when I purchased the 275 and 310 tune. Has there been a update since then? I've ran the 310 a total of four times. The first time it ran perfect but the next 3 times I ran it I threw codes. I also do the relearn process everytime I load a tune.

What are the codes? If your already have internal damage then the TCM is no good to you.

I don't have the exact codes in front of me cause they were cleared when I detuned but I think they were shift solenoid stuck and something about friction plates. Also when I got these codes the little wrech popped up on the dash. I've gotten these codes before but when I drop down to any of tunes below the 310 the truck seems to run fine. I was even able to run a 13.1 at 103 mph with the 275 last week.

The friction code ain't a good one. The shift solenoid codes happen with the solenoid gets trash in it. The trash could be caused from whatever is causing the friction code.

Congrats on the time though. That is VERY impressive for the 275 tune....especially that trap speed.

Yeah I was suprised when I looked at the slip and saw 13.1 as well cause I usually run between 13.3 and 13.2 pretty consistanly. 103mph is actually pretty normal for me and I've hit 104mph a couple of times with 275 tune. I'm curious does the TCM actually take .2 to .3 seconds off your quarter mile time cause I could actually hit 12's with 275 if that's true.

No, you won't see much improvement in track times with it. The only truck I know of that has ever ran a 12 second pass with the 275 tune is Rudy's regular cab drag truck. He did that right after he bought the truck before he did the Suncoast and Toyo Proxes. 13.1 is FAST for the 275 tune, especially in a CC/SB. You should be very proud of that.

The TCM is on the drivers side frame rail. What do you mean about "the updated tcm"?
