94-98 12v injectors

Injector install on a 94-98 12v

Tools-
19mm
8mm
11mm
10mm
PB blaster

First start off by disconnecting the baterys.. I donít but you never know. Next Take off the intake IC( intercooler) boot loose with the 11mm. Then your going to take the intake horn off. Four 8mm boltsÖ (be carefull of the gasket) next take off the grid heater nuts (10mm) Now with all that opened up take start cracking the fuel lines at the injector pump 19mm. Its easier to take the lines off as a hole. Now do the same to the injectors 19mm. .
With the lines off start on the return line( the little line that runs to each injector) 8mm IF you donít have those copper horse shoes be carefull not to drop them. ( but you should replace them) then at the filter housing there is a banjo for the return line. I think itís a 10mm take that off. And the fuel bracket on the intake manifold. (x2) . and your ready to star pulling.

Now there are different ways to do this.. you can stick a lug nut on the top of the injector and pry up with a pry bar or you can get the snap on injector puller. Or vice grips and wiggle your *** off. Crack the injector shoulder nut loose.. I think itís a 7/8 Not sure tho.. spray some blaster down in the injector put your lug nut on top of the injector and pry up with the pry bar on the bottom of the lug nut.
Now for the install. There a little ball on the injector that sits in a groove in the head.. make sure that you line it up properly or the injector wont fit in.. make sure that the injector came with the copper washer on the tip.. and also make sure that the copper washer from the old injector didnít stick in the head. Do the reverse steps for putting it back together.. put the return line on. Fuel lines, intake horn, ic boot ETC.

Another easier alternative to removing the injectors:

Place a small piece of 1/2 inch pvc on the injector (the pvc should be just long enough to expose the top few threads of the injector. Then put the correct size nut on top of the injector and tighten down. It pops the injector right out, and will save some 4-letter words in the end from being spoken.

try this method. Its idiot proof. Its possible to bend the injector body by prying it off if done incorrectly, but this method will work everytime and it wont piss you off or cause broken knuckles.

Oh, and i know youve got more fuel than i do. i thought there would be a large crowd for that club, but there are too many clubs already i was told.
