CAPS Fuel pump

Hi, hope you can help me. Am very new here. I'm from Australia. I have a problem with a tractor (New Holland TJ275).It's had 5 fuel pumps fitted in 2000 hours. Not technically a cummins, but the same I think. CNH 6TAA-8304, same as ISC i think. The fuel pump that is on there now is genuine cummins, and it runs genuine a cummins ecu. It now appears that it has the wrong fuel pump fitted( several times). It has a 4076443 for the 9 litre engine, I think cummins part numbers are the same. It should have a 4076442, for 8.3 litre engine. Nobody in Aus has any knowledge on these pumps. I need to know if that could be causing the pumps to fail before another is fitted. What happens to a 9L pump fitted to a 8.3L engine. Will this solve my problems, or do I need to keep looking. This is the longest lasting pump, 900 hours, but now the same as the others. Hard to start when cold, rough idle, (surges), no throttle response till warm, losing power very hard to start when warm.
Nobody rebuilds these pumps here, so really hope you can help. Please forward this post to someone else if you think they can help.
Thanks in advance
