Harvest time again

We have started shaking our nuts(almonds) again and harvesting.

It is a dusty operation as you can see in first picture. all of our equipment run a primary and secondary air filters. I would never trust K&N type filters do handle this kind of dirt while protecting the engine. The filters must be cleaned daily as the are literally packed solid after 10 hours and the filter housings have a turbo dust ejector or dust colluction bowl before the air cleaner to catch the heavier dust before hitting the air cleaner.

Even in clean air I would not run a K&N filter. They are 'performance' filters made to pass air with little restriction. To do that they have coarse filtration.

Dave, I agree 100%. Tried one a number of years ago in a pickup and the intake was always covered in a layer of dust. You couldn‘t pay me to run one in dusty situations.
