New Holland LB115 No Start

Went to start tractor, one crank and died. Cranked again and not much except some clicking. Signs pointed to dead batteries. Got both batteries out and was surprised to see they were dead after only 20 months (18 month warranty-that figures). Old batteries were EXIDE marine batteries manufactured in 4/08.

Went to Interstate dealer. Bought 2 new Blue top marine batteries. Brought home, installed easily. Went to crank and nothing but loud & rapid "clicking".

Bad voltage regulator? Can't get to engine easily because it won't start so i can't lift loader arms.

Any suggestions?

Resolved.

Negative battery cable was losely grounded to the chassis and wouldn't make a good connection. Good thing it wasn't a voltage regulator or starter loader arms were down.

Good to see it was something simple. I hate when things don't work, but i love when there is a simple fix.
