Looking for a 4440 John Deere

Had a 4430 that burnt up from a electrical fire. I'm looking for a 4440 with a Quad range trans, and 38'' rear tires tires.

Thanks
Devin

Thanks. I"ve looked at thoes sites before and found some deals, but most of the tractors are at dealers. I thought there might be a few farmers on here that might have one or know of one for sale. Just want to stay away from the dealers if I can.

Dealer can be to your advantage, if you trust them. Sometimes they'll cover stuff that breaks after the sale for a short time, too.

I second what Bmoeller said. My buddy is a salesman for Service Motors here in Wisconsin, and he just sold a red tractor for wholesale. Saved his friend $3500. The tractor was gone thru the dealer and it checked out. He got a 140 horse tractor for cheap. I was second on that list, if his first buddy was not going to take advantage. I wish he never told me this. Some dealers will work for ya, not all. I would go thru a dealer IMHO. Most cases you know what you are getting. Know your dealer. If you need help I can aid in some that have been good (green ones that is). I will keep my eye open here.

I got bored so I searched the for sale adds. The ones I post have 30 inch wheels.

For sale JD 4440. Good tractor with duals, 20.8 - 38. Quad range, 2 hyd., 3pt, cab. A/C works good with new Sanborn compressor converted to R 134. Hydraulic valves are converted to ISO (pioneer). Engine, clutch, transmission, hydraulic system all good. Good clean cab with stereo, I have had this tractor about 5 years. It was overhauled about 2600 hours ago and it starts good in cold weather and doesn't burn excess oil. I have mainly been using this tractor on a diskbine and hauling loads of corn in the fall. I bought 1 bigger tractor with MFWD to do the jobs of 3 other tractors that I am selling. I want $20,000 for the tractor. Tractor is located in eastern Iowa near the Mississippi River about 40 miles north of I - 80. Contact Greg Jepsen [email protected] or (Cell)563 357 4995

79 4440 6785hrs,2hyd,18.4x38tires,new cab interior, I have had this tractor since 1986. asking $22,500, loacated in NW IA. PH.712-541-1103

There was a couple others but had 42inch wheels.

How far are you willing to travel? I guy I do business with sells used JD tractors and has good prices. Way better than JD dealers. He buys and sells all the time. In fact I'm renting a 7610 MFWD from him right now to load hay
