I redid all of the mower deck spindles this past year on my JD mower. I don't think you will have many other options than deere. Have you called deere and ask about parts? Which bearing is it? Do you have the model number for the mower deck. When I search 212 through the JD parts index I can not find the mower deck?

If you have bearing numbers, you might be able to go to a bearing supplier and get them. We have 2 places here to get most of what we need.

As for belts. Don't skimp. A&I belts are flat out JUNK! Didn't even get 20 hrs out of some of them. Flew apart and trashed a big harness. Been there, done that!

Go to NAPA or Carquest and get Gates belts.

thanks I never thought about that I live about 5 miles from a bearing headquarters store and I am prety shure that all three bearings are the same on the deck. I guess I will have to compare the 2 that I have and see and if they are I am ready to mow come spring not bad for a free mower

I got a "free" 111, but it needs an engine. Someone managed to knock the engine oil drain plug out of the engine. Ran it out of oil. How the hell you miss that? Right out in the open. Oil would've covered the deck.................

Oh well. Works for me. Near mint otherwise.

dont skimp on the bearings, if you do you will pay 3 times over before you get a quality bearing.

Decks on those 200 series deere's were on their on parts microfiche. You could have a 39 or 47 inch cut and the serial number if I remember would start out as HO39 or HO47. Take the housing with the broke ear and turn it in relation to belt loading to be pushed into the deck. That would be usefull if you can't find a replacement. Expect to cut or break off the 3 bolts if they don't come out easy. I know where there is a new housing here in Killeen texas at an independant mower shop that I worked at last fall.
