Poor Ford Driving Buddy

One of my really good friends had an 01 PSD that was just like my truck, SRW short bed 4wd with a 6spd. Of course we ragged on each other constantly about who's truck was better/faster/pulled better etc. Over the course of time he added a 4" exhaust, programmer, K&N etc. I had a BHAF and the "majic RV 275 injectors done to my truck, and that was it.

BTW, he lived in Little Rock at the time, saw him several times, but not that much and never got a chance to race him at all. So, it wound up that me and him took some trailers of hay out to a place to store them, when we left I was in front. Got out on the main road...and waited until I saw his headlights jerk upwards and the truck start to really gain on me....the race was on  I stomp on it and start working the gears, he never caught up. Claimed later that I "jumped the gun" on him...ooookaaay......the next time I gave him a 3 truck lead.....when I passed him by at 70ish he would not look at me, just kinda hid his face as I passed him by. He has not heard the end of it yet, buddies are kinda hard on each other

Was this loaded with the hay?

There's this group of guy's from the Rockford, Il area the get together in the fall and race loads of fertilizer up this big hill, I think it's a timed fasted to the top type of thing. Don't know much about it, but a guy I know was telling me about it and wants me to go with him. All brands of trucks are there. Sounds like fun I hope I make it.

Starting to know how Rodney Dangerfield felt..........

Naw, the loads of hay were way unequal and would not have been a fair contest at all.
