Common Courtesy???

This just happens to be about a guy running Banks. I had "Mr. Joe Cool" (guy driving w/ left arm, leaning over and almost has his head in the passanger seat) pull up to me at a stop light tonight and all I did was look at him (had no idea he had banks otherwise that would have got another laugh ) and sorta laugh just because the way he was sitting...light turns green and off he went or so he thought. I rolled up on him at the next light after I saw the banks stickers, boosted a little waiting for the green and :smoke him...my wife, pregnant holding her belly just stared at me, probably wondering if it was necessary. Stopped at the next light waiting for him to catch up and he looked all pissed, must have been from the smoke; I gave him a knod like I do with everyone w/ a diesel out of respect and he just gave me a mean look. Now I'm the type to either wave or knod (like all the guys on streetbikes when they see one another) but why the look? I know you just got your ***** handed to you but come on, it's all in good fun. Now I get this type of reaction from more people running Banks than anyone else...I dont get, do "most" of them think that once they have the kit on their trucks that they are the fastest thing around? All I know is if I would have gotten beat I'd be the first one to knod/wave then I'll have to stop them and ask them for their secrets : ....MY .02

Also, this wasnt intended to bash banks or anyone else; was meant to show more courtesy/respect if someone nods, waves, whatever; at least do something back to acknowledge them instead of just staring at them acting like an ***** hat with a mean look on your face.

Had the same happen to me on the insanity test drive. Pulled up by a banks truck and left him in smoke. I believe that they have the "it cost the most so it must be the fastest and best around" attitude. It's fun to prove them otherwise.

When I was in TN I would wave at every SD that went by and would get a wave back. Seems here in VA not all people are like that but I still wave, maybe someday it will all sink in to those who don't. Just trying to be friendly.

I had a guy in a dodge cummins that was modded give me the nod in my kids 86 with flip hood 7.3 IDI straight piped and pump turned up as only mods .. in the short hop from light to light I was able to hold with him but I am sure on a longer stretch he would have smoked me but it was enough from an old girl to impress him . So not everyone is like that just the ones tryiong to compensate for other "short" comings in life...lol

Brian, I do the same. Some people in VA will wave back, including me.

For the guy who is not man enough to accept defeat politely with a wave or a nod, f-em. Just beat them again.

Doc, nice to hear the IDI can run!!!, and I'm sure Teni appreciated you giving her truck a little exercise.
