Whooped a 7.3L

I ran a guy this morning from work. I beat his buddy with his 6.0L yesterday and I guess he thought he was going to get a little vengence.

There was someone in front of him and they decide to turn so we both had to stop to wait for traffic. Well, soon as the guy turns he nails the throttle and takes off. I nailed it as soon as I realized what was going on and of course all I got was a lot of smoke and then a few seconds later the tires start roasting. By the time I finally caught traction he probably had a good 5+ car lengths on me. Against my better judgement I decided to just stay in it and see what happened. Next thing I know I’m on the guys tail a few seconds later.laugh

As soon as he sees me riding his butt he lets off for the upcoming curves. We pass through the couple of curves before the next straightaway. When we hit the next straightway I see the smoke rolling from his exhaust so I nail it and walk right around him and get in the lead.:smoke After I got in the front I proceeded to slow down and keep rolling the coal all over himlaugh …he tried to pass a couple of times down the road, but the ole 7.3L just didn’t have enough to get around me.

When I get to work I found out the guy tells everyone that #1 I never pulled on him at all …that he had to let off the throttle for me to get anywhere near him:roflmao: , and #2 the only reason I got around him in the straightaway is because he never hit the throttle because it was a double yellow line and it was too dangerous (it wasn’t a double yellow…it was dashed).

As far as I know the only thing he has in the truck is a tuner…not sure what kind it is, but that’s all he has.

Well, I laughed my butt off when I got to work and heard the crap this ole boy was talking.

I made him an offer. I told him since my truck “can’t pull his” I would put money on a race. I would give him a 5 car length head start and then I’d have to beat him by 5 (11 total lengths). He wouldn’t have any part of it…I told him I would do it for $100. He said no. I told him “okay, well, I’ll put $1,000 on it right now…since my truck can’t pull your truck there is no way I’ll pull that many lengths on you and you make an easy $1,000”. He wouldn’t have any part of it.

I think after him flat out turning down the bet everyone kind of got the picture that he was lying about everything.

Only reason I cared about running the guy is because he had been running his mouth for a long time talking about how 6.0’s were junk and his truck could run all over mine and my buddies.

To me, it doesn't matter what you drive. When you have a big mouth, you either put up or shut up. I've always been told, you don't let your alligator mouth overload your canary ***. Sounds like he bit off more than he could chew.
