close chevy/ford race

I raced my 7.3 against a 5.3 silverado. It was an 04 or 05, 2wd xtra cab and looked stock. When the light turned green we both hit it. I was non boosted and we were really close. We got up to about 65 and his front bumper was at my front door. I was in my 80 setting, next time I will have it in the 140 setting. He did look surprised that my big ol' truck kept up.
I have a friend with a titan with a 6" lift and 35's. I am hoping I can keep up with him. That will be my next race.

2001 F250 CC SB 4X4. Swamps 250/30% hybrids, Stealth Stage I, DP Tuner, 38R, JW Trans, ITP Regulated Return/Bowl Delete, , 4" Lift with 315/70/17
9.6 @70 1/8 mile stock injectors/PMR's

i agree, those titans look cool, but still they are gassers, and those 35s won't help him

You should walk that Titan on the 35's. The Titan's really aren't that fast.

I would agree the 7.3 was a good motor...I got 450k miles out of mine and only had to replace one lift pump. I would not agree on the 6.9 though. My grandfather had one and it was pretty reliable, but that thing was a dog! You had to keep the pedal to the floor just so it could get out of it's own way!
