WRX STI Kill

Last night I had a run in with a newer Subaru WRX. Ive seen this guy running around town for awhile. He has a exhaust intake and some kinda chip for the turbo. I have always wanter to see how I would do, but never the chance. Till last night. We raced twice first time it was from 35mph till about 55 we where dead even. Then we raced from 20 to 90mph. This time I boosted it alittle till he took off then I jumped him my half a truck lenght then we where even. Every time he had to shift I would pull alittle more till I was about a truck and half ahead. He was pissed. Not sure how fast they are but his was fast for a ricer.

My buddy had a tuned 06 STI for a little while. That thing was fast as hell. It was a stick and would run 12.8's. A normal WRX isn't going to be quite as fast. But those things, if driven properly are quite impressive.

Im surprised you were able to hold him to be honest, let alone beat him. But I'm just getting into the 6.7L game so what they are capable of, and what the tunes do, is all a little new to me.

There are some fast cars coming out now days. I'm not sure what model it was but I raced a new Lexus LS sporty looking thing of some sort and we raced from a dead stop to 75 and he killed me off the line but I was catching him after that. At 75 when I let off he still had me by half a car.

Yeah, cars are definitely getting to be pretty fast these days. My first good kill with my 24v was a BMW 330i from a dead stop to 90. The best part was I was towing a stock trailer, it was empty but still weighed in at an extra 4200lbs. Had the whole rig in front of him, and I didn't even break 1100*. Thats the beauty of compounds.

i must say that he either didn't know how to drive that car, or something was wrong with it had. a stock sti will run 4.5 sec. 0-60mph, and a 12.5 quarter mile. your truck must be seriously quick to take that. here's a link to the road and track review....

The sti didn't know how to drive. He never ran him from a dead stop so you can't compair the 0-60 times or 1/4 mile times, those cars get thier advantage from thier awd launches, but thier 2nd gear in the trans are weak and prone to failure if abused. They are fast, but not unbeatable!!!
