A warning for all you 100+MPH guys

Remember you are on TRUCK tires, not race car tires. Watch these two videos and see what speed will do to your tires. These runs peaked at 139mph

First run:

After they added some extra air to the tires:

I have seen tires blow up on a dyno twice. not fun in a room with people standing around. It also usually destroys the bed too.You also have to think about on a dyno you are pulling down on the suspension to secure the truck. on the track this is not happening.weight transfer in these trucks with stock springs,I don't think would do this to your tires. Either way make sure that your tires are in good shape before you race,

also if your pulling a trailer make sure your lugs are tight and the tires are in good shape.

1. I was going down 465 in indy with a buddie and the trailer tire flew off and passed us. (we were doing about 80) well it jumped the concrete divider and smashed a brand new bmw...not fun

2. Coming home from Branson missuri doing about 80 in the bosses duramax with 5 trailers stacked on top of each other. tire blows on the trailer. it was just not a good thing
ha
the only reason we were doing 80 was because we were trying to catch up with some ladies that were teasing us haha

laugh

I just dont have the best luck with trailer tires haha

most all terrain tires that we run are not rated for more than 87 mph.

I have noticed this alot when I was at dyno events... Seems like some tires are worse than others and the more sidewall exposed the worse it is usually...

How much of this is due to the tire sitting on a roller, it's not on a flat surface and under some pretty serious acceleration. Kinda looks like drag slicks on take off.
