wait to start light

i have a 97 12 valve and my wait to start light doesn't go off it just flashes after i start the truck. Well i have a AutoxRay scanner so i scanned it and it came up with PO113 intake air temperature circuit high input. i tried to clear the code but it keeps coming back. So my question is what might be the problem?

The little round temperature sensor that goes into the intake runner plate is probably bad. Controls the grid heater by reading the temperature inside the intake.
