best price on piston/rod

I need a piston a con rod for a '96 with 170,000 miles. I'm having trouble finding parts from somewhere other than Chrystler. Also, what else should I do while I'm in this deep into the engine? Initial problem was a knock from the wrist pin in #3 cylinder. Everything else seems good. Thanks for all the help.

Contact Cummins they will make you a better price than Dodge.

While you have the head off you may want to O ring the head or add head studs, or main studs. It will just depend on how much HP you want.

Other things to inspect, rotate the motor and inspect the cam. I would do a bearing roll in, better safe than sorry. Blow in the oil galley and be sure the piston cooling galley, and nozzle are clear.
