Dual battery bank install

If anyone is considering splitting up batteries, like I just did(3 for starting,1 deep cycle for all sleeper accessories) may i suggest a Shure-Power battery separator. I thought i needed a battery isolator but was schooled on why this separator is a better way to go. I won't bore you with all the technical details, just wanted to say it is as easy to install as i was told-very clean all connections inside battery box. The part# is 1315-200 (200amp rated). If anyone has additional ?'s i'll try my best to answer. Good Truckin'!

How's the one deep cycle working for ya? Is one good or do ya wish you had 2 or 3?

I'm fixin to pick up a junkyard battery box. I was thinking three batteries for off key use. I use a mattress heater and electric blanky in winter and these drain my 3 starting batteries to fearful situation in the cold morning. I have my gen to charge batts but if the gen don't start...

Add in the interior lights, computer, etc. and 3 deep cycles sound good to me.

Freightliner tried it using a solinoid that separated the deep cycle battery from the system when it was shut down. The deep cycle powered certain systems in the cab only. The deep cycle battery was killed, after a very short time, The repair was to remove the deep cycle battery and solinoid set up also remove the diode power separator in the Cab. Most of these were 4 battery systems, and the three battery set-ups were changed to fours.

It did not work, for Freightliner. Good luck!
