Cleaning Small Electrical Connectors Made Easy

I thought I would share and maybe save a few others some frustration.
I do a lot of electrical and electronic troubleshooting mostly on trucks.
Corroded and dirty pins in connectors can be a pain to clean.
Some are small and easily damaged and their location can make them hard to replace.
I was recently dealing with an electrical problem that I tracked
down to a dirty and corroded connector. The seal was missing and
over time dirt and water had got in. Looking at the connectors I thought
where could I get a tiny file to clean the mating surfaces? On my way back
to my tool box I walked past the oxy-acetylene torch and there they were.
A set of tip cleaners in the perfect range of sizes.

The ends had to be trimmed as the serrations don't start at the end of the cleaner.
Make sure to use a cleaner that is smaller than it's mating connector so the
connector doesn't get distorted or stretched.

I have used them several times now with success.
