Question What programmer and Tune are you running

Hey guys I was wondering how many of you were running a customized tune on your programmer for your truck (gasser or diesel...have one of each in the family)? If not what tune are you running. I am trying to decide what to due with my trucks.

I get enough excercise just pushing my luck...

That's a tuff question to answer in general. Of course I only have experience with Ford's.

Depending on the years. And the PCM's.

For the 6.0's then a programmer like the SCT is best. And Eric at Innovative does a great job. As does Matt at Gear Head, who would be my choice.

If it's a 7.3L then go with a chip. Shift on the fly is great. I have a DP Tuner Chip in mine.

As for the gasser, a tuner is most likely going to do you the best, depending on what you want to do with it. I have my F-450 v-10 motor home programmed with a tow tune and that is all it will ever have.

And custom tunes are great, Live tuning is the best. Canned tunes are a good start, basically to get an idea of what you want. Then get with a tuner that you like and start working with them.
