upon recommendation from a friend who is an audio enthusiast, i went with Image Dynamics subs in my truck, and they are good for both SQ and SPL. they sound pretty good for 10's and often time people think i got more than just 10's.

as far as regular speakers, i am running the 2 (yes 2) stock door speakers.

kenwood head unit and amp for the subs.

As far as speakers, I have a set of Infinity components in my truck, 6.5 mids, 1 inch titanium dome tweets. They get pretty loud and have good power handling. For a while I had an 8w7 in a custom box, that sounded awesome, good and clean. Then I needed more bass. I moved up to a Memphis M3 12" in a roughly 2.15 cube ported box, running 1 ohm off a Memphis PR1.500. Its LOUD.

I highly recommend Memphis subs and amps. I have my PR1.500 running only about 1/2 way, and I don't know if I really want to turn it up more, for the sake of drowning out my Highs. The amp has never gotten above cooler than ambient to the touch...EVER.

I also run an Alpine IDA-X100 headunit. Awesome piece, for a single DIN they are more than worth the money. I'd say them and Pioneer can build some of the best headunit's i've ever used and experienced.
