Driving lamp suggestions?

At work, one customer asks if I knew of any reliable driving lamps to install in the bumper of his OTR truck. Something that lasts longer than the expensive stuff he has right now that he has unfortunately replaced, under warranty, twice already. I was looking at Grote's 100watt lamps, but, there is not much of anything in regards to reviews of any kind out in the market. He wants 100watt lamps. I have already checked Trucklite and Peterson with no success.

Would anyone have any suggestions?

my suggestion is a set of very good head lamps and an eye checkup. seriously, in my 26 years of driving I have never used or needed driving lamps. they are an unnecessary expense to buy and maintain, an are total pain in the "eyes" to everyone else when they are out of adjustment, which is usually the case.

Yeah, upgrading his headlamps would be an idea, but, I am not sure he would be into that. I am not sure what he has as far as a sealed beam or if the bulb can be replaced seperately.

if it is a sealed unit, such as on my w 900, there are still options. there are conversion kits you can buy that will allow you to run replacement bulbs in the same size and style headlamps. or you can do like I did and just replace them with sylvania xtravision sealed beam units. they made a world of difference especially on the shoulders of the road. the light is very white, not blue like........well, I'll just hold my opinion on blue headlights for now. you sound like a very decent parts man, who is genuinely interested in what is customer wants and needs. keep up the good work I'm sure you'll figure out something.

I will see what Wagner has as far as higher intensity bulbs since we don't carry the Sylvania line.

Thank you for the insight Doug, I appreciate the compliment as well
