CB Antenna Mounts

Allright guys and gals......I need to mount my dual 4' Valor CB antennas on my Dodge. I'm looking for ideas as to where to put them. Dont have my toolbox or anything in the bos yet. I seen a guy a while back that used the front fender mounts under the hood...made a little bracket that sticks out from the hood on each side. I cant remember where I seen this guy at.

Watcha got for mounting? LETS SEE PICS!!!!!!

Hybrid, that is a *****in truck you've got there...

And my antenna is mounted on my toolbox. Before I had a toolbox, it was mounted in the pocket stake hole thing using a kit from the CB shop...

Are you going to be running one as a "dummy" because I didn't think you could co-phase them since they are not far enough apart

Dual antennas are counter productive on anthing less than 9' wide.
You'll get better performance from a single base loaded magnetic mount in the center of your roof.

:iagree Im not familiar with "valor" antenna's but a base load on your roof is by far the best. I used to have a rack on my truck and went with a fender mount on the front with a top loaded antenna. Dual antenna's might look cool but they don't do anything for your performance.

In the past I have cut the bed rail in front of the tool box, folded a bracket from 10ga stainless to bolt in the front fender seam to the hood, one of the others in the same shop made angle brackets and just screwed them to the front fenders next to the doors.
I currently have a stainless bar 1/4 x 1 1/4 x 6 in with a hole in each end, one end to the mirror brackets with a longer bolt and the ant base in the other.
I use a top loaded unless it is over a ground plain or a whip.

On my last truck I used the stainless bracket that goes in between the fender and hood, it's made by FireStik.
They also make one that mounts to the bed stake pocket if you'd rather have it behind the cab.
