Bypassing parking brake to watch dvd's on my flip out while driving

I am trying to figure out how to bypass my parking brake so I can watch dvd's in my truck on my flip out while moving. THere is a wire that is suppose to be hooked up to my parking brake and w/out that hooked up the screen wont come up.."says brake must be applied" is there anyway around this?

Thanks

Check around the brake pedal there should be a sensor most of the time its just a push sensor that can be pushed in and taped up...........

just click the parking brake down one click and it shouldnt drag on the brakes at all but the light will come on allowing you to watch dvd's while moving

usually you just ground the wire to a good ground. Problem solved.

cant ground the wire only as it has a parking brake sequence you have to go through to clear the screen... so i just used a toggle switch and hooked the parking brake wire up to it and grounded it, then used the toggle switch as the parking brake to go through the sequence and clear the screen... Doing this also allows me to turn it off if someone else drives my truck and then thy cant watch dvd's at all...lol

Sometimes you only have to ground the VSS (Variable Speed Sensor) wire and the parking brake. Sometimes you have to do a little more. My Pioneer D3 required a grounding of the VSS, PB and the service pin.

Google search for your model + bypass and I'm sure someone, somewhere has put it on the interwebs.

I grounded mine as well. I did have to search the web and find a bypass code to get past the parking brake sequence. I would rather have the toggle switch set-up like you have though. In AZ it's a hefty fine for having video playing while driving. With the toggle you can switch it off in that case and they would never no the difference.
