Are Toyo's worth the extra coin?

Well i've got the itch to get tires again, i held back last time but this time i don't know. I like the looks of the toyo m/t but the price, good grief, i'm looking at around $1800 for rubber if i go with a 285, 295, 305 maybe even a 35x12.50 like i want to. I know that usually the higher end tires like toyos will usually last longer but i know i'm gonna be riding the centers pretty hard with such a wide tire for my rims, is it gonna be worth it? Fallbacks are Mickey Thompson MTZs, Pro Comp extreme m/t, cooper stt, goodyear mtr, maybe a few others. If i go with an oversize tire i'm gettin wheels as well and spacers, that way i'll have a stock set for towing and whatever.

I don't know about the M/T's but the A/T's had a good mileage rating and the warrenty was for 50k miles. I put 35k on mine and Les Schwaub gave me the prorated price on another set. So I do think they are worth the money. They are also a good tire.

Toyo's not worth it IMO. I put them off for a year or so and finally bought a set and they are half gone in 10K. Cooper STT's are better and that's what my dually will get and my single will go back to.

The Toyo A/T's are great though,my dad has almost 55K on his,but A/T's don't work for me.

+1...not worth it for the cost, but they are a great tire (I have the Toyo MT 37x13.50x20)

for the money look at the Kumho MK71...same quality and looks for less $$$

They are worth it!! If you take care of them and rotate them you`ll see close to 50,000 out of them ! they hold up very well, they handle well on dry, wet pavement. They are great in the snow and mud!! I`ve had mine on for over 3 yrs and have almost 47,000 miles on them and they are still going. No repairs either!! I got to give them a 5 star rating!!! I would buy them again for sure!!!!

I'm glad you ended up going with Toyo MT's. But, $1800 is way high. You need to shop around some more and if not cancel that order at least make them price match. IIRC I paid $1680 for my wife's 37x13.5x22's.
