Stereo instal problem with 97 dodge

I bought a pioneer deck last night and got a wiring harness and install kit everything I thought I would need. I hooked everything up last night and now I have only the factory tweeters playing front and rear. The other four mid range speakers are not playing at all. All the wires seem to be hooked up correctly and I tried to adjust it through the deck but have had no luck. Any ideas what is going on here ?

Were there anymore wires left that looked like they were pairs? I wonder if the factory stereo had seperate outputs for the tweeters.
Also check to make sure that if your Pioneer has a built in cross-over that it's not set at it's highest freq. It should be set at "full range" or off if you're not running any subs.
I'm sure you already did but make sure that your mid and bass adjustments are not turned all the way down.

I ran into this when I had a 98 dodge it has a factory amp or crossover I cant remember which but you have to hook up the pioneers amp remote lead to one of the wires in the factory radio harness I cant remember what color though.seems to me it was the power antenna wire you hook the amplead to on one of those aftermarket harnesses. you can probably get the info you need at, www.the12volt.com

Sounds to me as if you had the factory upgraded Infinity sound system which uses powered speakers. My suggestion is call Crutchfield and tell them what head unit you have and what vehicle. They will have a wire harness that will match your vehicle and all you have to do is splice the head unit wires in. You can probably get it shipped for less than $20. If hooked up wrong you can damage the speakers and or blow a channel out of the head unit.
