08 Ford GPS in 07

Is it possible to install an 08 GPS unit into an 07 SD? Im sure it will mount up but do the plugs/wires match the 07's or would they need to be spliced?

Save the headache and buy a new aftermarket one. BTW, the Spartan tuner has that as an option for a reasonable amount. In Canada, the option for Ford navigation was almost $3000.00 so I bought the ****tiest stereo and threw it in the bush, put in a JVC unit, sub, and speakers for the same cash. With the aftermarket units, you can also add backup cameras and have a killer sound system.

I would but.....I am not really looking to use it for the GPS but for the Ipod interface. I know that the aftermarket has plety of supply for that as well. Just trying to keep a factory look if possible.
