If you want to build boose for a fast/hard takeoff this is what you need to do.

(Gauges are highly suggested!!!)

1: Put truck in 4X4
2: Hold brake
3: Hold pedal on right to floor until the brakes wont hold
4: Let off of brake
5: Hold the HELL ON!!!

egr= exhaust gas recirculation valve ...does what it says and heats stuff up even faster.
egt= exhaust gas temperature.....get it real high and watch your turbo glow red like unbroken likes to do...lol..lol..a guage will tell you when to back out of the fuel to save the engine...
If you have a automatic you will want 5th gear...people lock it in 4th for dyno runs but to my knoledge not to race....

Yup! Let your tranny do the thinking for you, because if you have a "hot" file for a SCT, you will have your hands full just thinking about the steering wheel!

If your going to do this, do yourself a favor and get a egt gauge like the others have said.
You wont believe how fast the egt shoots up!

A egt guage can also be called a pyrometer or "pyro" for short.
