New Problem

Today I unhooked the ICP and I got 1110 lbs cranking but no start.
ICP hooked up 80 lbs cranking, IPR reading 84 %.
FICM=48.5 volts
1syc

I also got the following codes
U1900
PO281-#7 contribution balance
P2285-ICP sensor circuit low
P2291-Injector control pressure too low
P2617-Crankshaft position output circuit
I also removed ICP and added shop air and I can hear air blowing enough that I can feel it coming out the oil fill.
any help is appreciated Ed
PS STC fitting replaced

Ok guys today I made a plug from an old IPR and installed it and applied air to HPO System but still cant tell where air is going, sounds like it is in rear of engine.
Do the HP Pump orings ever blow?

Yes O-rings can blowout. I had one heck of a time with my '03. Read some of my older posts if you want a good laugh. Bottom line is be careful to use the correct replacement part.

I'm not familiar with the '05 specifically but the theory is the same.

What were you using to measure the HP oil pressure? If the ICP is unplugged the computer has no idea what the pressure actually is. I use a mechanical gauge Tee'd into my ICP tubing to measure the HP Oil pressure. I'm assuming you were looking at your scan gauge.

The IPR is normally open which means with no power the regulator is open and will pass air.

Keep posting and take pictures of what you find.

Yes I was using the scan gauge to check it.Sense then I took and old IPR and cut it down and welded the holes up to make a plug to go into and block the IPR port. I have the valve cover off the right side and found the top part of the stand pipe had the backup ring forced into the oring, I am waiting for parts to come in. I plan to put it back together and recheck it,if I still have a leak then I will go into the left bank and reseal it.
I pulled the HPOP cover and checked for a leak and found nothing, so I am sure that part is ok.

OK guys I found the problem it had blown the oring on the left side Standpipe. Got it back together today and it starts up like it should but it has a miss when you first hit the fuel, kind of like the turbo is sticking but I cleaned it about 6 weeks ago. My brother ran a power balance check on it with his auto enginuity and it showed good. tomarrow I will see what I can find.
Thanks to all Ed

Do NOT rely on the balance test with AE!

AE only does a compensated balance test. Earlier this year I chased a white smoke issue, and while an EGR valve that looked good turned out to be a good part of that, I still had issues. I ran AE under all conditions and it never showed any variation in the injector balance test.

Frustrated that I couldn't test like the dealers can, I picked up an IDS. First I did relative compression and all was good. As soon as I did the UNcompensated injector balance test cylinder 7 dropped like a rock. Went back to compensated and everything was balanced. Changed out injector 7 with one from White Bear and the remaining smoke went away.

Those of us using AE for injector balance are fooling ourselves due to vehicles ability to adjust problem injectors very well.
