2005 Excursion PS vs. 2005 F-series PS

Hi. I read in several Ford docs that the 2005 PS in the Excursion did not receive the updates that the F-series and E-series did (EGR, fuel pump and others). I'm guessing because the Excusion was already scheduled to be discontinued and Ford didn't want to waste any money re-engineering or getting it past the EPA? In the same way, the gas V-10 that year was not upgraded to the new three valve motor, but the F-series did get the new gas motor. Does this mean I essentially have a 2004 PS? My build date was 7/05.

I'm not sure but when I put the intake elbow on my 2005 excursion, it took the 03-04 model to work so I either have an 04 leftover motor in it or they never upgraded to the 05 in them.
