ITP regulated return help

Between the rain I have been installing an ITP regulated return in my 03 6.0 Excursion. The install has gone very smooth except for the port on rear of the drivers side head. Everything I read said the fitting was a 6mm Allen, mine was a Torx. Has anybody else had this bolt be a Torx rather than an Allen?

My second problem was when I went to install the SS line from the back of the head. There is a channel cast into the head right in front of the hole. It appears as though the fuel line should ride in the channel, but I am having trouble getting it to fit. Has any body else had this problem, or am I odd man out with the heads on my 6.0?

Thanks for the help.

Both of my bolts were allen's. And my lines went through the channel. Then again I did mine when my heads were off doing studs. Hope you get it sorted out.

Thanks, as long as I know they will fit, I'll just lose some more blood. I should have waited until I did studs, but I got impatient to do the fuel system.

Thanks

I spent about 4 hrs getting that line in. It is a B**CH!!!!!!!
Then I took and tweeked it a little and it went in.
I did it over two days. I got thedriver side line in in the morning with a clear head and rested arms .
Good luck.

After cutting my hands on the downpipe for the tenth time, I felt like tweaking mine with a sledge. What did you do to tweak the line?

Ya I spent a whole day doing mine. I thought mine was a torx to but it wasn't so I ended up stripping mine out. I had to take the up pipe and loosen it then got a good chisel and gave it two wacks and she was free.(Thank God) As far as the lines fitting into the grooves I think I may have had to tweak them a lil but nothing to bad.

Mine was the same way, the allen key would slip out, but I was able to get a properly sized torque bit and it fit in and I was able to break the torque on it and it removed rather easily. If you need the torque bit size let me know and ill go out and get it for you, but if you got the drivers side out they are the same size. Believe me the torque bit is way easier to use with a ratchet then it is a the bull**** allen key that most people try.
