Working on blocking another 6.0L and we ran out of Difuser's kits so we tried the Liberator kit.
here is my opions on the job and each kit
we quoted 6 hours which is not enough when using the liberator kit but is enough on the Difuser kit
The advantages of each kit are as follows
Difuser kit:
Comes with Whirly Bird (intake Plenum) gaskets and turbo mounting kit
More cost effective than liberator
Comes with a good factory style coolant hose
uses a plug for the up pipe instead of changing the pipe. We have had these leak before but with some clamp adjustment they will seal well
Liberator:
It was very difficult to remove the Up pipe on the truck today we had to cut one of bottom mount bolts
They expect you to reuse the intake plenum gaskets which in most cases ok but would not be appreciated if something went sideways.
There have been instances where this up pipe has cracked causing exhaust leaks which is why we beleive there kit includes the up pipe

Kits include
Difuser
Coolant bypass tube and factory style hose
plug for UP Pipe on EGR system
plug for bottom of intake Plenum (whirly Bird)
Whirly Bird Gasket kit and turbo mount kit
no instructions at all
plain box no sticker

Liberator:
Coolant Bypass tube and cheap hose with clamps
New Up Pipe with no EGR port to plug
Plug for bottom of Intake Plenum
no gaskets or Turbo hardware (expect to reuse orings and intake gaskets)
Really good step by step directions
Really cool sticker and packaging

with an 05+ it would be very silly not to replace the uppipe. So you are right on with each has their own purpose. :five
