6.7L Cummins Questions

!) How many head bolts per cylinder does the cummins 6.7L have.
2) How often does it go into regen?
3) How good are the 68RFE trannies with these trucks?
4) 3500 4x4 SINGLE REAR WHEEL Tow Rating & Payload Capacity
5) Is there a turbo boost gauge from the factory?
6) Do the heavy duties come with trailer sway control.

Anything I should know about the 6.7? Is there a way to have a high idle switch?

1.) The same as any 5.9.
2.) As needed.
3.) Yes, but anything can be broken.
4.) The numbers are inside the drivers side door.
5.) I think that started this year.
6.) If it is not a factory option then the dealer will install.

Why would you want a high idle switch?

2) How often does it go into regen?
Depends on how its driven
3) How good are the 68RFE trannies with these trucks?
I like mine. Depends on how its treated what kind of tune etc.. It can fail just ask Eazydeezy
4) 3500 4x4 SINGLE REAR WHEEL Tow Rating & Payload Capacity
Towing Spec

5) Is there a turbo boost gauge from the factory?
Not on the pre 2010s not sure if it has been added... Did you not test drive a 2010?
6) Do the heavy duties come with trailer sway control.
They have a rear sway bar... I tow and can't say there is much sway.

High idle is a factory option just make sure it is enabled by the dealer with the StarScan. You use you cruise control to turn it on or off. And you can raise and lower the RPM..
Don't idle it for long periods, don do a lot of stop and go driving, load it up and TOW.. WORK IT.. I also run my exhaust brake almost all the time, on a stock truck I would run it ALL THE Time.

Thanks, so I guess I have to ask, how many head bolts does the 5.9 have per cylinder?

No not really... Drive Pressure seems to be a bigger concern.
