2010/2011 RAM HEAVY DUTY STEERING QUESTION

I had the opportunity to drive a new 2011 RAM 2500 4x4 w/ 6.7L cummins for about 500 miles over the last couple days... I had a quick question, the steering seemed loosey goosey, sort of sloppy & unpredictable. It would be dragged from one side of the lane to the other if you didn't fight the steering wheel with the unregularities in the road. Anyone experience this or know maybe something to remedy this feeling.

I've driven a 2010 for nearly 3000 miles and never noticed any play like that. In fact, of the big three, I would say the new Dodge had the firmest feel from the steering wheel.

First off is the trailer on the bummper hitch and to much weight?
Tire pressure and alignment, I would also crawl under and have someone shake the steering back and forth looking for a loose part or piece. It does happen. Is the steering box adjusted properly?
Are the tires and rims stock? That can change the geometry.
A friend of mine complains about his new Ford's steering, when he has the camper on, I have not driven it or seen it, I do know Ford has and found nothing wrong.
