went to start truck and it clicked a couple times and started. was fine till today listened to radio for 5 hrs. same thing charged batterys for 20 mins started fine. codes p2509, p0513 are they due to low voltage. loadmeter said they were weak but not real bad. have the original batterys run their course?

Its due to low voltage. See this post https://www.thedieselgarage.com/forum...d.php?t=105880

The electronics are very sensitive to low volatage and will throw codes but the same batteries in an older vehicle will work just fine.

I actually did new batteries in my rig this past winter (early), I could really tell when the heater block was cycling it was very obvious that the batteries were weak. It also didn't crank very fast. New batteries installed and all was right.. (they where pretty weak when I tested as well) I would give some new batteries a shot and see where you are.

Probable not. If there was some prorated warantee it wouldn't be much especially when you can probably get a better price else where then from a dealer.

i have nothing against dealers, i just try to avoid them when possible because they usually charge more than i care to pay.
