Valve Cover Filter????

I have 95,000 on my 08 and this is the thrid time Ive had to change this dang thing. Is that bout right? Ive been dpf and egr deleted since 36,000 with a cold air intake, and I rerouted the vent hose for this filter and added little mod filter. Also have tuner set on 60 hp gain which is the lowest setting. Where is the cheapest place to order this filter from since it seems its an every 30,000 mile event???? Thanks for the help guys

Everyone says Genos is the cheapest. 3 times in 95k seems excessive. My 1st change was at 67500 and second at 140,000 miles and the warning light hadn't lit up at the 140k mileage.

every 67,500 is more than fine... if its soaking before that you may need to check for excessive blow by.

Got to thinking about something, what tuner are you running and what update? What I think you are seeing is a ghost code in the tuning. It pops your overhead for service required but does not specify what service is required? I had with with my old rig while running version 20ME on my smarty jr. It almost went away with 21me and was compeltely gone with 23ME.. That being said I have no idea what turner or software version you are running. As I said before if the filter is oil soaked in that time frame you mentioned above I would start to check for exessive blow by.

Goatman, when you change your ccv filter weigh the old one and compare to the new one's clean weight. The ccv will hold 14-15 oz. of oil. If your old one is holding significantly less then 14 oz. then you might be getting false codes/warnings because of your tuner. Just a thought
